Anti-rape ordinance is perfect deterrent against potential criminals: Chidambaram

Defending the government's decision to legalize the anti-rape ordinance, Union finance minister P Chidambaram on Monday said that the ordinance will act as an immediate deterrent against potential criminals. Chidambaram further claimed that the government has not rejected any of the recommendations forwarded by the Justice JS Verma panel in the ordinance.
