India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday downplayed reports that there was a rift between two of its top leaders. Media reports said Arun Jaitley, senior leader of BJP, and party president Rajnath Singh were at loggerheads over the appointment of a controversial businessman to the party campaign. Media reports suggested the rift was a setback for the BJP in its bid to find a common poll plank as well as to electoral tie up with allies.
