Australia to send large team to CW Games: Varghese

Peter Varghese, Australian High Commissioner to India stated that his country would be sending the largest ever contingent for the Commonwealth Games to be staged in New Delhi during October. He said this on the sidelines of a seminar to boost bilateral ties between India and Australia hosted by the Indian Council of World Affairs in national capital, New Delhi on Tuesday. Varghese also expressed his satisfaction over the preparations for the games. His statement is viewed as vital since the Commonwealth Games has been mired in controversies and certain allegations that may discourage participating nations.
