Bandh proves Opposition cares about people: Advani

Thanking the people for making the Bharat Bandh an "unprecedented success", senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani hoped that the 12-hour strike proved that the Opposition cared about people and their plight due to price rise. A 12-hour nationwide opposition shutdown against the price hike of petroleum products and increasing inflation was observed on Monday. The shutdown was marked by widespread protests and arrests of activists belonging to various opposition parties.
