Brit pop band Duran Duran rock the VIP room in Cannes

It may not be Rio, but Notorious Wild Boys, Duran Duran, the iconic Brit pop band, prove they have what it takes to pull in the stars and glitterati to their one-off gig at the European launch of Belvedere Red at the VIP Room in Cannes on Friday night. Nearly three decades on, lead singer Simon Lebon recalled the days when the band once ruled planet earth but still ran foul of local law enforcement. Having released the thirteenth studio album, "All You Need Is Now", the veteran rockers have made the most of their experience in a career that has seen them go from 80's pop icons to rock and roll has-beens and now, they hope, back again.
