Brunei sultan in New Delhi on a four-day visit

The King of oil-rich Sultanate of Brunei, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, arrived in New Delhi on a four-day state visit to India to strengthen bilateral relations. The sultan was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Waddaulah met Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed. During his visit, the Sultan is slated to hold discussions with prime minister on wide range of issues, particularly focusing on ways to enhance economic ties between the two countries.
