China’s dam across Brahmaputra will not affect its flow India: India

While addressing the media persons in New Delhi on Thursday Nirupama Rao, Foreign Secretary of India although informed that China is building a dam across River Brahmaputra at Zhangmu in Tibet but added will not affect the down stream flow of the river in India. As for the concern over the dam project, she mentioned that there is a mechanism with China to discuss water issues of River Brahmaputra and River Satluj. India and China have made little progress in resolving their decades-old dispute over the Himalayan border, despite several rounds of talks.
