Commoners worried over fuel price hike
Updated on Jun 26, 2010 08:39 pm IST
The decision of government's Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) to hike prices of petrol and diesel on Friday has evoked strong criticism from the commoners as well as political parties. The common man who has to ultimately bear the brunt is badly hit by this hike as growing inflation has already made the cost of living very high. The government has raised the price of petrol by rupees 3.73 per litre while it is rupees 2 for diesel. For kerosene and LPG the hike is of Rs 3 and Rs 35 respectively.
