Updated on Oct 31, 2009 11:29 pm IST

The Rosaiah government in Andhra Pradesh suffered a setback on Thursday as its Minister of Women Development and Child Welfare Konda Surekha tendered her resignation from her post in protest against YS Jaganmohan Reddy not being made the State Chief. Describing her reason for resignation, Surekha told media on Friday that the masses always wanted to see Jaganmohan Reddy as the future Chief Minister but some senior leaders in the party had scuttled his way to the CM's post.
