Congress nominates Sonia to select presidential nominee

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Monday nominated party president Sonia Gandhi to select party's candidate for the next presidential and vice presidential polls. The meeting that was held in the background of the weeklong violent protests by the Gujjar community demanding Scheduled Tribe status also took stock of the situation and criticised the BJP led Rajasthan government for failing to tackle the situation.
