Updated on May 18, 2012 11:04 pm IST

BJP Leader Yashwant Sinha today termed the ongoing controversies surrounding the Indian Premiere League as shame for the country. Commenting over the arrest of the RCB player Luke Pomersbach, Sinha said that cricketers should not be a part of rave parties post matches. However, Union Law minister, Salman Khurshid has said that IPL is the product of the new era and is enjoyed by fans worldwide. CPI(M) leader, Sitaram Yechury has said that it was 'unfair' to exempt the IPL tournament from tax duties and it was an injustice to the other forms of sports.
