CPM backs Mukherjee's candidature in presidential polls

Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee's candidature in the presidential race has got a boost as general secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM), Prakash Karat has said that the party would back him. The decision came after the meeting held between all the four left parties in New Delhi. Karat also added that the decision was taken after a wide consultation with the party members.
