Darjeeling hills, also known as the Queen of Hills, are seeing increased tourist inflow after the general elections in the region. Tourist inflow is expected to swell soon as the near month-long staggered polls across India wind up this week. This tea-rich region of late has witnessed a drop in tourists over the last few years as the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha started off an agitation for a separate state of Gorkhaland.
