Delhi Elections: Here's what BJP, AAP and Congress are promising citizens
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress released their manifestos for Delhi Assembly elections while the BJP came out with its vision document instead of a manifesto. The BJP's vision document, which was released on Tuesday, also sparked a row by describing people from north eastern states in the national capital as "immigrants", a mistake which it corrected later.Issues like zero tolerance towards corruption, reduction of electricity bills, women's security and installation of CCTV cameras in residential colonies and in buses find mention in the election promises of all the three political parties. AAP and BJP also focus on reduction of water rates. As far as full statehood for Delhi is concerned, the promise for grant has been specified by Congress and AAP. Passage of Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill within 15 days of coming to power and making Delhi a free wi-fi zone are some of the promises made only by AAP. Here's a quick guide to the list of promises made by the three parties for the upcoming assembly elections for Delhi.
