Designer pearls in Bhopal

The students of Applied Aquaculture studies in central Bhopal have cultured 'designer pearls' that is being considered one of the first of such endeavors in the state. A pearl is an organic gem, created when an oyster covers a foreign object with beautiful layers of nacre. Vijayeta Rathore, a student at the Applied Aquaculture department has conducted these experiments very successfully.
