Devotee's throng to temples on first day of Navratri

Hindus thronged temples in New Delhi to offer prayers on the first day of the nine-day-long festival of 'Navratri'. Hundreds of devotees thronged the famous Jhandewalan temple in the capital to seek blessings of goddess Durga. Early morning rituals were performed to mark the festival, symbolising the triumph of good over evil.
