Direct telephone link with Pak to boost cross border trade

The decision by Kashmir government to revive direct telephone links with Pakistan after 20 years has bolstered the hopes of the people in the valley. Locals feels that the proposal put forth by the state Finance Minister Abdur Rahim Rather on March 12 would give a fillip to bilateral trade by facilitating greater interaction between traders in India and Pakistan.
