Updated on Jun 22, 2010 10:52 pm IST

Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal in Ranchi said that there is no question of increasing the disinvestments in the disinvestments from more than ten percent. Meanwhile, Jaiswal pointed out that the coal industry is based in the Maoist-affected areas and the government would take appropriate measures to tackle the situation. The government on Tuesday approved 10 per cent divestment of its shares in Coal India and allowed another state-run firm Hindustan Copper to issue 10 per cent equity to the public.
