Junior doctors at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi continued their hunger strike for the second consecutive day on Wednesday demanding better facilities in the hostels. More than 500 junior doctors, post-graduate students, junior residents and interns from the Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, operating under the Safdarjung hospital, are on strike demanding clean toilets and drinking water in the campus and hostel. Protesting doctors have blocked the Out Patient Department (O.P.D) of the hospital. Amid all these, patients are bearing the brunt, as they are unable to get medical help on time.
