Dow Chemical to sponsor London Olympics despite protests
Updated on Nov 16, 2011 12:11 pm IST
Money power and corporate power seems to be driving the Olympic dream. London organisers intend to keep Dow Chemical as the sponsor of an artistic wrap encircling the 2012 Olympic Stadium. Shockingly, this is despite concerns in India over the company's links to the Bhopal gas leak disaster in 1984. Even the British MPs sympathise with the protesters demanding that Dow be stripped of the status as sponsor to the 2012 London Olympics.Even the participating Indian players are against the idea of Dow sponsoring the games.
