Initiating motion for discussion on FDI in the Lok Sabha, BJP Leader Sushma Swaraj today said that the opposition could have built a consensus on the controversial reform, however, they were stubbornly opposing it because the Government failed to consult them on the same. Reading out from the then Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee's letter addressed to the Parliament, Sushma said that the Government went back on its promise to consult stakeholders.
