India's paramilitary force in poll-bound western Gujarat state held a flag march in Rajkot on Sunday December 2, 2007, ahead of the assembly elections. The first batch of CRPF personnel together with the state police armed with guns marched through the city's streets to instill a sense of security among the locals and ward off miscreants. The first phase of polling is scheduled on December 11, whereas the second phase of polling will take place, on December 16.
