Food price inflation would ease by next month: Montek

While inaugurating a seminar in New Delhi, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of Indian Planning Commission said that the current food inflation would ease by next month. Following widespread drought and floods in various parts of the country, food inflation climbed to more than a 10-year high of 19.95% in December, driven mainly by higher prices of potato, other vegetables and pulses.
