Gehlot pays homage to former speaker

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot recently paid homage to state's former Vidhan Sabha speaker Maharawal Laxman Singh on his birth anniversary. Gehlot, accompanied by his MLAs and other officials, offered flowers to his photograph. Maharawal Laxman Singh was a renowned politician of Rajasthan. He was the leader of Opposition in the early seventies and remained Vidhan Sabha Speaker from 18th July 1977 to 24 September 1979. On June 6th 1989 he took his last breathe.
