Global Indian community important for India's progress: President

While addressing the concluding session of the three-day conference of expatriate Indians in New Delhi on Saturday Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil said that the contribution of the global Indian community was an important factor in the country's road to development. Meanwhile, the President also honoured 14 members of the Indian diaspora with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award for their contributions.
