Government approach to tackle Maoists lenient: BJP

Ananth Kumar, General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Thursday slammed the government for their lenient approach to tackle the Maoist menace in the country that has resulted in an increase in the firepower of the rebels. He further added that his party would support the government if they strengthen the unified strategy against Maoists. In one of the worst attacks by the rebels in years, the Maoists killed at least 76 police personnel by setting off explosives and firing from hilltops around dense forest at Taadmetala village in Chhattisgarh state on April 06.
