Supporting social activist Anna Hazare's version of Lokpal Bill, chief of Communist Party of India Marxist, Prakash Karat, on Friday said the government bill on the Lokpal is unacceptable. Karat called the government's Lokpal bill weak and ineffective and asked the government to go for effective Lokpal bill proposed by Anna Hazare along with other civil representatives. Karat also showed concern by saying that the nation must require a mechanism to curb corruption in the higher judiciary as well and consequently a bill needs to be passed in the parliament to monitor judicial accountability.
