Heroin worth Rs.85 crores seized at Indo-Pak border

Heroin worth Rs.85 crore in the international market have been seized from smugglers by the personnel of the Border Security Force in Punjab, near the international border with Pakistan. The heroin, weighing 17 kgs, was seized in the Dera Baba Nanak sector where personnel of BSF's Parakrami 32 unit laid an ambush and foiled the drug-runners who were trying to smuggle in the drugs.Drugs smuggling has been a long time problem along the India-Pakistan border where patrolling has been tightened in the recent past.
