Health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, while addressing a national Convention of Members of Parliament and Legislative Assemblies, Zilla Parishad (district council), Chairpersons and representatives from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and UNAIDS on Monday, labelled homosexuality as a 'disease' and 'unnatural.' He went on to say that society should prepare itself to control the 'illness' of sexual orientation. He added that it is easy to identify female sex workers but it is not the same with respect to men engaging in sexual acts with other men.
