IAF to strengthen presence in Andaman and Nicobar

Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal PV Naik, on Thursday admitted to the reports of increase of its strength in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, located in the Indian Ocean. While interacting with mediapersons on the sidelines of the launch of 'So That Others May Live', coffee table book on IAF, he said that there are plans to increase the strength of the air force in the island in a phased manner. The up-gradation of forces comes in the backdrop of reports of Chinese activities in Indian waters like the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean region.
