India, ADB sign Dollar 69 million loan agreement

India and Asian Development Bank on Tuesday signed a dollar 69 million loan agreement for Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Programme. The loan agreement was signed in the national capital New Delhi as a part of the sixth and final tranche of the Dollar 620 million Power Sector Investment Programme. On behalf of the central Government, Venu Rajamony, Joint Secretary (Multilateral Institutions), Ministry of Finance, signed and exchanged the agreement with Hun Kim, ADB's Country Director for India. Rajamony on the occasion said he hopes that the loan agreement would help ADB-India to achieve new heights.
