India displays military might and cultural diversity at R'Day

India displayed its military prowess and rich and diverse cultural heritage at the Republic Day parade in the national capital New Delhi on Monday. The President and the Supreme Commander of Armed forces Pratibha Devisingh Patil took the salute at the glittering parade. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev was the chief guest at the parade. Marching contingents of army, navy and air force besides paramilitary forces, Delhi Police and national cadet corps passed the saluting base on the majestic Rajpath.
