Karunanidhi rules out talks on water sharing with Karnataka

Chief of Tamil Nadu state M. Karunanidhi, has ruled out talks with the chief of Karnataka state H D Kumaraswamy on a river water sharing allocation awarded by a tribunal last month. A Central tribunal looking into the long-running bitter row over Cauvery river waters had on February 5 allocated 270 billion cubic feet to Karnataka and 419 billion to the lower basin state Tamil Nadu.
