The 12th International Film Festival of Kerala 2007 began in the provincial capital Trivandrum on Friday, December 7. Versatile actor and filmmaker Kamal Hassan inaugurated the weeklong event in the presence of chief guest Chilean filmmaker Miguel Littin, Kerala Cultural Affairs Minister MA Baby and Malayalam actor Mohanlal. While inaugurating the film festival, Hassan said his brush with good cinema came through Malayalam movies.
