Kishenji’s death: Maoists call for shutdown
Updated on Nov 29, 2011 08:33 pm IST
In an attempt to retrieve the image of the recently killed Maoist top leader Kishenji, the outlawed rebels on Tuesday called for a day's shutdown in Jharkhand, affecting locals and daily wage labourers. The Maoist leader and some of his accomplices were killed by the security forces in a gun battle, on Thursday. Irked workers of coal mines, running in the region, complained that because of the unfortunate shutdown, they are not able to earn money and it is difficult for them to run their families.
