Lady teacher beating sarpanch on bail
Updated on Dec 07, 2011 01:24 pm IST
Justice continues to elude Varinder Kaur, the woman teacher from Punjab's Muktsar who was brutally assaulted by a Saprpanch in full public view. The Sarpanch Balwinder Singh was arrested, as promised by the Punjab chief minister Praksah Singh Badal. But barely hours later, he was out on a bail surety of 50 thousand rupees. Stranger still, the CM's office tried to take credit, describing this as swift action.
