Lakhs witness Rath Yatra in Puri

The hugely popular chariot festival or Rath Yatra in the temple town of Puri begins on Monday, which witnesses lakhs of devotees from across India to pay obeisance to Lord Jagannath. The festival is celebrated by pulling out the large wooden wheel chariot of Lord Jagannath, along with sister Subhadra and brother Balram from the temple through the city's decorated streets for over six hours.
