Lawmakers appeal for peace in Dera Sikh row

Chief Ministers of Punjab and Harayana appealed to the people to maintain calm in the wake of Sikh protests. Sikhs are protesting against the alleged killing of a community member by the security guards of the Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, chief of a sikh sect, Dera Sacha Sauda in Mumbai. The state chiefs also promised to take strict action against anybody who goes against the law and order.
