Left front crucial meeting on Nandigram today

The constituents of the Left Front government in West Bengal would meet today in Kolkata to discuss police firing at Nandigram on Wednesday. Earlier on Friday, the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), a minor partner in West Bengal state, urged its major coalition partner, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) to withdraw police from Nandigram, 150 km (90 miles) southwest of state capital Kolkata, the site of Wednesday's killings
