Mamata demands removal of forces from Maoist-infested WB
Updated on Oct 24, 2010 09:04 pm IST
Railway Minister and 'Trinamool Congress' chief Mamata Banerjee demanded the withdrawal of joint forces from the Maoist-infested areas of West Bengal. Banerjee said the armed cadres of her archrival and state's ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist), were using the forces as a cover up to kill the innocent people. Banerjee alleged that sabotaging rail and metro services was also part of the CPM-led Left Front's agenda, aimed particularly towards discrediting her as Railway Minister.
