Voting for the by-poll to Kolkata Dakshin Lok Sabha seat, vacated by chief minister Mamta Banerjee following her election to the state assembly, took place today. A key issue for many voters is tackling corruption for the growth and development of the country. The by-polls will see leader of the ruling regional Trinamool Congress (TMC), Subrata Bakshi, battle it out with Ritabrata Banerjee, head of the regional Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM).
