Manoj Mahato sent to judicial custody for 14 days

Manoj Mahato, General Secretary of People's Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCPA) was on Sunday remanded to judicial custody for 14 days by a court in West Midnapore. Mahato was produced before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sheikh Md. Rezza, who sent him to the judicial custody. Police have slapped several charges against Mahato including sedition and murder. However, Kalipada Mahato, father of Manoj Mahato claimed that charges leveled by police are false.
