Maoist leader arrested, arms seized in West Bengal

During anti Maoist operation in West Bengal, police on Thursday nabbed a Maoist leader and seized a cache of arms in the West Medinipur district of the state. During the combing operation conducted by the central paramilitary forces and the state police, the weapons seized included those looted by the Maoists during an attack on the Eastern Frontier Rifles' Shilda camp on February 15. West Bengal is among the several Indian states affected by Maoist violence.
