Protesting the ongoing provincial civic body polls, Maoist ultras carried out an extensive poster campaign to influence public opinion in the Simdega district of Jharkhand on Thursday. Hundreds of posters and flyers, containing pro-Maoist literature, were seen pasted on walls, trees and buildings across the town, urging locals to stay away from the ongoing election process. As a precautionary measure, the Election Commission has restricted polling hours in Maoist-hit areas till three in the afternoon.
