Maruti chalked out strategies to push up sales

India's automobile major, Maruti Udyog Limited, renamed Maruti Suzuki has embarked upon novel three-pronged strategies to counter recession in the sales. Maruti's innovative schemes include three packages. They are the rural oriented Panchayat scheme, an employee scheme named Lalkaar and a vendor/dealer scheme. Thanks to its innovative marketing, Maruti has mopped up sales of about 17,000 units from these strategies in the past two months.
