Modi deserves credit for BJP's Maharashtra win: NCP leader Majid Memon
Updated on Oct 20, 2014 12:06 pm IST
Nationlist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon on Monday said the Bhartiya Janata Party's (BJP) unprecedented victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections was because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal. The NCP, which was part of the former Congress-led UPA government, had on Sunday offered unconditional outside support to the BJP to form a government after it fell short of the majority mark in the state assembly.
