Monsoon mayhem cripples life in Mumbai
Updated on Jul 15, 2009 08:50 pm IST
Heavy rains continued to lash Mumbai for the third day on Wednesday throwing the city completely out of gear. Water level at the city's Mithi River rose above the danger mark-the same occurrence which spelled doom during the Mumbai floods in 2005. Services on the city's crucial railway lines were disrupted. Traffic snarls were reported and schools were closed down due to the incessant rains.
