Updated on Jul 25, 2009 07:04 pm IST
Former Pakistan president General Musharraf in an interview to a private news channel said on Friday that Kargil was a big success and India agreed to discuss Kashmir only because of that war. He said that it had an impact even on the attitudes of the Indian side. According to Musharraf, Kargil was the reason Indians agreed that there must be a negotiated settlement on the Kashmir dispute.
