Nepali police detain Tibetan protesters

Nepali police beat up pro-Tibet protesters in Kathmandu and detained over 100 during anti- China demonstrations. Hundreds of Tibetans tried to storm the Chinese consular office from different directions in Kathmandu. Meanwhile, Prakash Karat, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India CPI (M), slammed main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party and National Democratic Alliance convenor George Fernandes for their flip-flop on Tibet.
