No entertainment tax on IPL this year: Chavan

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Monday ruled out levying entertainment tax on this year's IPL matches played in the state. Speaking to reporters, he said that there cannot be levying of any tax since the IPL season this year is over. Levying the tax on IPL 4 will be taken in the cabinet after discussion. Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has asked Maharashtra government to clarify whether it has decided to levy entertainment tax on the IPL matches played in the state.
